I met up with Jonathan. ...for a drink at Radio. (on 13th near Broadway.) Felicity sighting!
Ben (Scott Speedman) is now shilling for Gap. I don't know how I feel about the long hair.
We stopped to admire the Central Building. (14th just east of Broadway.) We always talk about going in the Golden Bull, but never do. We also stood around ogling one of Julia Morgan's fine buildings. (Franklin at 15th.) ...and made our way over to Pat's, where friends meet. We barely made happy hour, and caught a hot blues band that played Dylan's "Everybody Must Get Stoned" while all the patrons sang along. They have a kickass jukebox, too. The thing that's cute about this sign, which you can't see, is that it's signed by "So-and-so's granddaughter". I took my picture in the stairwell. My hair was supposed to be Deepest Sable Brown, but it came out purple. I have nothing against purple, but am never buying L'Oreal Feria again. Echa came down to meet us. Jonathan was obviously very excited to see her. We left our drinks behind and went for Korean barbecue on Telegraph. I liked this sign because it's a huge beauty supply store filled with black hair products yet the sign's in Korean. I think that's Korean. Korean has all the cute round glyphs, right? We stopped by NRB, which is one of those rent-a-room karaoke joints, to see what was up. We ended up staying. Chad sang Guns 'n Roses' "Sweet Child o' Mine". Echa put on Bon Jovi, and we just about ripped out our vocal cords singing the chorus. Jonathan put on the best show, wiggling like crazy to George Michael's "Faith". On our way home, I spotted another box city settlement, just off Broadway, a block before the mega-Safeway. There's one of these on 27th and something, it's great, has Mr. T. and Tom Selleck stencilled all over it. I made Chad turn around so I could take pictures. ...to show to Katie, who spotted the first one.
