They remodeled Lafayette Square several years ago, but it will always be Old Man's Park to the locals, especially with signs like this. Grand Lake Theater puts their marquee to better use. (Grand & Lakepark) I wandered around while waiting to meet some friends for a very late breakfast at Lynn and Lu's. I stopped at Arizmendi on Lakeshore for the second-best cheese rolls around. You'd think this would remind me of George, but it actually reminds me of Paul. The signs at the dry cleaner's are one of Oakland's hidden gems. You can feed a family of four for ten measly bucks at Kwik Way. No joke. Don't forget the apple pie. I used to hang out at the Serenader sometimes. ...back when I lived over here. I hear they have very good dogs, but I'm a Top Dog girl at heart, especially now that there's one in City Center, a few blocks from my house. After lunch, I took a very long walk home.
