Courtyard-type motel in Sutherlin, Oregon, which is in the middle of nowhere and the point at which Chad was too tired to drive any further. He'd actually reached that point several towns back, but all the others we pulled off in seemed to be home to the most vile-smelling paper mills you can imagine. It was like that time we got lost in Ensenada. The room was strictly no-frills, and there was a moldy old towel crouching behind the door and stinking everything up until I made Chad pick it up and put it outside, but it was extremely cheap, and had several cute neon signs.
