We were supposed to leave early Thursday morning, but didn't, because, as usual, Chad waited until the last minute to get the car tuned up. He and our neighbor decided to change the brake pads themselves, but then it got dark, so they tried to do it Thursday morning and that didn't work out and Chad took the car back to the mechanic, who found some other things that needed fixing and took all day and cost $800, so we didn't leave until late afternoon and sat in lots of rush hour traffic. There was a huge accident in Fairfield, and it took us about two hours to go 20 miles, and we didn't see much on the way up, because it got dark. If we had left that morning like we were supposed to, instead of that evening, this picture would have been funny, because it would have been light enough out for you to see that the arrow on the sign points directly at the highway.
